Who is Murphy?
Murphy Approved ✓Murphy is an extraordinary East German Dachshund and the official mascot of Doggy Bag Tours.
She was named after one of our favourite singers, Roisín Murphy, and has been part of the company almost from the beginning. Over the years, she has welcomed guests, inspected bicycles, supervised tour guides and perfected the art of doing absolutely nothing while looking very busy.
Murphy's spirit lives in our name and our tone: warm, a little cheeky, and never taking ourselves too seriously. Berlin's history is serious enough; Murphy reminds us that exploring the city can still be fun.
In 2026, Murphy turns ten years old. To celebrate her birthday and the 10th anniversary of Doggy Bag Tours, she has invited Berlin's dachshunds — and anyone with a dachshund somewhere deep inside their heart — to join the longest little dog walk through the city.
Who is Magnus?
Head scratches welcome ✓Magnus is a Dutch dachshund who has been welcoming guests at our starting location since 2022 and is always happy to receive a scratch on the head.
He is named after Magnus Hirschfeld, the German physician, sexologist and LGBTQ+ advocate whose pioneering work during the Weimar Republic helped promote understanding and equality for LGBTQ+ people.
Today, Magnus continues that welcoming spirit by greeting visitors from around the world before they set off to explore Berlin.

No registration required. Just show up and join the walk.
